So I FINALLY have time to tell mine 😌. A week prior to me delivering baby, my blood pressure kept elevating. The NP I seen did labs and continuously checked my urine for protein to ensure that I didn’t have severe preeclampsia again. All labs came back normal and she couldn’t figure out what else could be problem. I had weekly ultrasounds from 28 weeks on out since I had my son at 29 +6. Anyways... I was in my ultrasound that Tuesday and had an appt with her earlier that day (Jan. 21st). Not to mention that I was in & out of L&D since Sunday for contractions but I wasn’t dilated or contracting enough and was sent home. So my NP seen me in there and told me that my liver enzymes had jumped from normal range since last week and my platelets were high too. She said I needed to go to L&D to get elevated afterwards and to have an “open mind” because she couldn’t tell me what would happen next. I go to L&D and I stayed for almost 3 hrs. There was till no protein on my urine so no preeclampsia at all. They told me to take the bp meds the NP gave me and to get a BP check in the clinic that Friday and if my bp was still high they’d need to evaluate each again and possibly take her since I would be 38w 2d anyways. So that Friday, believe it or not, my bp was high. I already knew what time it was lol. they came in and asked when was the last time I ate and gave me a time that my C-section would start. I was supposed to have it that following Wednesday, but we had other plans. At around 3:30 they pulled me back and it took about 30-40 mins for them to do the epidural because the spinal they couldn’t get. It was due to me having mild scoliosis though and I let them try as many times as they needed to because it didn’t hurt like I thought it would. After that, my SO got to come him and baby was born at 4:42 pm. She weighed 5lbs 14oz healthy and crying 😩. Overall, I had a good repeat C-section. The scheduled one was way better than my emergency one. I was put under last pregnancy and up this time. I wouldn’t mind doing it all over again. Recovery is better than my last also. I am a proud mother of 2 babies/Irish twins 💗💙🤞🏾
