The night before I noticed some leaking but I assumed I was accidentally urinating on myself since the week prior I went to the hospital and same thing happens; I just urinated on myself: so I woke up at 6AM to use the bathroom on Monday 2/3/20, when I wiped there was a very light tint of blood; like a light pink. I let it be and went to bed. About every 30-45 minutes I had to use the bathroom until 9AM; and every time I went the blood increased and was a much brighter red color. The last time I went I had some small blood clots. So I called my doctor and he suggested I go into the hospital to get checked. We got to the labor & delivery room around 10:30 .. I got all checked out and doctor said my water did break and the blood had tinged it.. so I was leaking amniotic fluid maybe all night ? Any way, they admitted me and BC I was only 2cm dilated they had to induce me at 1PM. Things progressed relatively quickly. Contractions became more intense. I tried not to epidural but at 5cm and contractions being so intense around 5-6PM I got the epidural and things subsided for a while. I was given pitocin I want to say around 6:30-7 and by 9:45 I was 10 cm and ready to push. I was pushing for 45 minutes, but baby’s heart rate was dropping so they needed to cut me and help me out by vacuuming him for assistance. Baby boy came out at 10:30 PM weighing in at 7.6lbs 20 inches. The contractions were 100x worse then pushing by farrrr. Welp, that’s our story. Good luck to the rest of the February babies 💙
