12 weeks scan??

Would you take your 4 year old to your 12 weeks scan and let that be the way she finds out she will have a baby brother or sister?

I took my first to her baby’s sister’s ultrasound once and never did it again. It’s too distracting to the tech and some places don’t even allow children for that very reason.

Children that young are often not allowed during your ultrasound. They allow another adult. I don't think a 4 year old would see things the same way as you. But you know your child best. I just know with my three year I have no way anticipating how she would react. I certainly wouldn't take her to scan as 1) she'd find it boring or wouldn't understand 2) she may misbehave. But it's up to you.

My ob office doesn’t allow children in the ultrasound rooms. It’s policy. But my son definitely is a private person so he wouldn’t have enjoyed finding out in front of a stranger anyway.

Theres no right or wrong way to do it. If that's how you want to tell ur child then I think you should do it. I think it would be cool cuz they can see the baby on the screen!
