What does fingertip dilation mean??

Doesnt mean much unless you're in labor. You can go from 0 dilation to fully dilated in a few hours or sit at a fingertip dilated for weeks. Just depends on your body.

I mean.. I wasn’t dilated at all until the day I went into labor with my first. I have a friend who has been dilated since like December and she’s due in March. So dilation means nothing until other stuff comes with it.

Finger tip is roughly 1ck. It means absolutely nothing. You could be 4cm and not go into labor for a month, or 0cm and go into labor hrs later. This is why I don’t do cervical checks, they make me anxious and impatient.

It just means your beginning to dilate but not enough to call it much of anything.
