Close to 25%. We bought our house for £352k and put down £88k. Mortgage for the rest.

We’ve built 2 homes. I can’t remember how much we put down for the first one it was over 6 years ago. But we just built/bought our new house this past July! We put 15% down which was enough to take off pmi! Also wo Th building we had to put an additional $4k down for land and upgrades. It was a smooth process and our lender and realtor were great! We have a conventional loan. We combined our credit scores but I’m a SAHM so we only used my husband’s income.

We put 5% down vs 20% down. The reason being is we bought a fixer upper and didn't want to deplete our savings.  We wanted money for improvement costs.

We did 20% and worked with a phenomenal realtor who helped guide us. We just needed to be preapproved by the bank and to do so they just needed 1 pay stub.
