Flat head?

Anyone’s baby starting show signs on flat head?  
My baby has.  It’s surprising because he really only spends time on his back when he’s sleeping or on his mat.  We’ve been practicing tummy time more often.  
Any recommendations on how to help round it out?  I hope he won’t need a helmet! 😭. He’s 15 weeks.

My pediatrician said 4 months is when the flatness is the worst! My husband was really freaking out about it but she said it will start getting better as he gets more mobile in the coming months.

I worried too! DR said some flattening is normal and helmets are not always necessary especially if it’s flat across the back evenly. They would be concerned if it’s becoming flat on one side or more then the other.

My son has a flat head. It first started out flat on one side then I started adjusting him while he sleeps, practicing more tummy time, etc. I feel like I’ve been doing sooo much to help prevent it but it’s still flat. We see the pediatrician tomorrow so I’m going to see what he thinks about it. My son sleeps on his back at night but during the day he’s held a lot and doing tummy time so idk what else to do?! I would think and hope it will start to round out when he starts sitting

Yeah we went to a chiropractor which has helped a ton. We also switch up the way he looks or faces for sleeping, diaper changes, tummy time, etc. My guy tended to look right and was developing a flat head on the right side toward the back. So for the last month we have been focusing on looking left and helping him stretch his neck gently.

Also as long as it’s not a severe case it’ll round out on its own when they learn to sit!

My doc says to try holding the baby differently. When changing which arm we care the baby in would help. I also incorporated more baby wearing. It helps!

My little guy has a flat spot on the right. We’ve been diligently trying to help him change positions while sleeping, playing, doing tummy time more. My hope is that it rounds out over the next few months. His doctor is aware and does not seem concerned. His four month is next week so we will see what she says.
