Pelvic pain. Partial Uterine Prolapse. Hysterectomy.
I have been having pelvic pain for two solid months and went for a second opinion yesterday. I was told I have a partial uterine prolapse and I need a hysterectomy. I’m trying to wrap my brain around this all. My youngest is 18 months and I have two others. My husband and I said we were done but I always thought maybe in the back of my mind there may be one more one day. Now I’m faced with the need for a hysterectomy and it’s devastating. I’m 33 years old and I never imagined I’d hear that work until I was a much older woman. I’m being referred for pelvic floor pt and being put on an estrogen based birth control to hopefully help. I’m hopeful but scared. I keep feeling like my body has failed me.
