Positive test after miscarriage

Me and my partner had a miscarriage last year August, it was my first and quite a bad experience I ended up in hospital for a week due to complications, but I am just wondering if anyone has experienced the same sort of thing and go on to conceive we have been trying ever since but I just feel like some times we doing it just to be regimental if that makes sense.
