10 month old eating salmon?

Question

My ped said my son couldn't have colorful fish only "white" 
I'm reading conflicting things on the internet not to give certain fish ( fish that has bones or just regular fish ) because of allergies 
I'm planning to give my son Cod fish soon, but should I hold off salmon and crustations)

Salmon is very nutritious. Time for a new doctor. Our doctor encouraged us to try all foods by age 1 including fish, peanut butter and eggs. If you can get your child to eat salmon, props to you mama!! It's tough getting my 2 year old to eat anything let alone salmon.

I’ve never heard of that too. Yes it’s best to start with white fish. But you can also give salmon if there is no allergy known in the family.

That makes 0 sense. Salmon is the best fish for them. My 6 month old has had salmon and crab so far and will continue to have salmon once a week.
