First time as a school momma
So my first born, is 5 years old. He turned 5 at the end of December.
We got him all registered for school and put him on the waiting list if there was an opening for TK
Well Monday afternoon I got the call that they had an opening and he could start Wednesday (today)
Since he is my first baby, I had no idea what to expect or what to get him (besides a backpack water bottle and lunchbox)
We woke up and he got ready to go to school. His first day. I’m trying to not cry and freak out. He’s super excited. Totally awesome. I’m so happy that he was ready to go
He had an incredible first day and made a bunch of friends within minutes. My husband and I stayed with him for the first couple of minutes and he didn’t even seem to care that we were still there. So we decided that was a good time to leave.
He’s been with me every day since day 1 ... 5 years by my side (minus sleep overs and play dates) and I think today went a lot better than I was expecting.
I went to go pick him up and he was all smiles. He had a blast and did really well from what his teacher said. So I’m glad there were no melt downs (from either of us 🤷🏻♀️🤣)
And his baby sister totally missed him. She was all giggles and laughs when she finally saw him.
I’m so happy that he has a great teacher, a great classroom, and great friends.
Thanks for reading my long post about my son Atlas starting his first day of school. This momma appreciates it.
Happy Wednesday to you all 💋
