Do they need it to sleep? It’s about the age to get rid of it anyway so if LO throws it out of the crib just don’t get it for them. Probably just doing it because they know you’ll come and get it.

That’s about the time they advise to stop giving it. In my experience, cold turkey works best. If it’s getting to the point where they purposely throw it out and then can’t sleep, you might as well try to get rid of it altogether
