Who pays for wedding (not religious , today’s generation)

I say the bride and groom pay, they shouldn’t expect their parent to have to pay. If their parents offer to pay then that’s different but they aren’t expected to pay.

I think the bride and groom should.  I don’t think it should be anyone else responsible.

We never asked anyone to pay for our wedding. Some of our family members offered to pay for certain things and whatever wasn’t covered was what we paid.

My husband and I paid for our own. I was 22, and he was 28. We expected no help from anybody. My mom put in 100$ towards the food since she cooked it all but other than that we paid the rest.
