My 17 year old son has more effective parenting techniques than me 😂
I have a 17 year old son who works at Chuck E Cheese with his girlfriend. My daughter, who's 6, is really disobedient and curious like many 6 year olds. She likes to constantly wander off so you have to watch her like a hawk. I was lecturing my daughter earlier because she told me she was trying to get close to this lake that's by our house. My son kneels down to her level and asks her "Are you ready to meet the lagoon serpent by the lake?" My daughter got nervous and asked him what that is. He told her that it's a giant aquatic snake that turns children into serpents when they constantly ignore their parents warnings not to get near the lake so they don't fall in or drown. She immediately changed her facial expression and said "Never mind!" Then a couple of days ago I was screaming at my daughter because she was near the stove and was reaching her hand out. My son just made a tsk tsk tsk noise and told her "If you want a big painful blister on your hand, then you touch that hot stove. If you want to keep your nice skin so you can play with your dolls without wincing, you keep your hands down and get away from the stove." She ran away instantly. Why the hell does she listen to him and not me? I told my son whatever he's doing, just keep it up 😂
