Actually ALL is safe including bleach, at any time in pregnancy! I’m a hairstylist & I work with colour all the time & get my colour done whenever. Salon quality products have changed so much that we have ammonia free options for people who are concerned, as well as techniques that keep colour off the scalp like highlights or balayage. 🤷🏼‍♀️ at home colour is a little bit different because they are much more harsh & you need to be in a very well ventilated area.

According to a podcast I listened to today, there’s a slim chance, but not enough data to prove either way. (Because, let’s be real, how would they find participants for a study about that?) But basically the verdict is, whatever you’re comfortable with. The more chemicals you’re around, the more exposure you’re getting, but obviously hair dye isn’t toxic or anything wild like that. Personally, I think hair dying wouldn’t cause any significant problems, do whatever makes you happy!
