I got my forward helix pierced a while back and they put a bar in it that was way too small so I changed it. Does this look normal?

Its infected. Use iodized salt and warm water and clean it at least twice a day.

It looks like it could be infected or a keloid could be forming. Did you wait the recommended time to change the jewelry? Is the jewelry surgical steel? Clean it with saline or wound wash. See your piercer.

I agree; it’s infected. I had my forward helix pierced 6 years ago and I have that same ring in mine. The ring looks fine, that infection does not.
