My baby is due tomorrow. I informed my gran that when my baby is born I don’t want anybody to kiss her hands or face while she is tiny. She has called me a dictator and said I am making ridiculous rules. I said she can kiss ontop of her head if she really wants too. She said she has kissed all her children and grandchildren from birth on their mouth and they have all been fine. She has said she will not visit until she is allowed to kiss her face because it is her instinct to kiss her face and she wont be dictated too by me as she feels I am being disrespectful. I feel really upset because I don’t think it’s irrational and she is making me feel that I’m being irrational. It’s flu season where I am and the midwife advised no kissing and definitely nobody ill near the baby. Regardless of this if feel she is not respecting our wishes. She is our baby girl and these are the wishes that we have. Thoughts people?
