Coconut oil for cradle cap?

Our pediatrician recommended Mustela shampoo for my sons cradle crap.. it worked wonders after the 1st use, but now after the 2nd he has a bald spot, & it looks like his scalp is burned. It is super irritated. 😥 hurts my heart. Any recommendations, or mamas who use coconut oil? Thank you.

Coconut oil every day on my daughter🙋‍♀️ my son will be 3 in April and that's all we have ever used

Yes I’m using coconut oil and his soft brush.    The first day after I use it it looks much better (other than all the flakes in his hair) but by the time I do it again it’s starting to get bad again. Overall it’s helping though and it’s really gentle on their skin.

Sounds weird, but rubbing breastmilk into it has really helped clear my little ones up and helps loosen it

Grape seed oil worked a miracle on my son’s scalp and he had cradle cap really bad!

My ped recommended coconut oil or aquaphor, and use a comb to gently brush (against hair growth) to get out the scales. Don’t try to get all the scales out if they’re being stubborn, though.
