My daughter was diagnosed with RSV like a month ago. Ik they told me the cough would last weeks and I totally understand that. She started to feel better, the cough and runny/stopped up nose was going away. This week the horrible cough has came back along with runny/stopped up nose, fever, diarrhea and her eyes have started to stay mattered up since yesterday morning when she woke up. Her snot is yellow when she sneezes. The cough is getting to the point where it is taking her breath and ig the snot is taking her breath and she can’t breath. Then she starts screaming and it makes it 10x worse so I have to try to calm her down. I took her to the hospital last night cause it was really bad and all they did was check her for RSV and the flu and both came back negative. Mind you, they didn’t even really look at her. Never looked at her ears, mouth, nose, or anything. All they did was check her weight, heart rate, & temperature. Her temperature was 101. They gave her a steroid for the cough and some Motrin for the temperature and that’s it and sent us home. The steroid did help with the cough for a few hours and now it’s back a lot worse. Doctor said that she was just “recovering” from RSV and I call bullshit. What’s you opinion?
