Our Next Step
My husband and I have been TTC for 2 years now. No luck what so ever. I’ve never had a positive pregnancy test and at this point it’s taking a very large toll on my mental health.. I question, “am I worthy of being a mother?”, ALL THE TIME.
We get the question all the time “when are you guys going to have kids?!” We’re both at the point where we tell people we aren’t ready. Maybe not the correct way to respond.. but it’s much easier then explaining that we’ve been ttc for 2 years with absolutely no luck.
My friends all have children, most of them have two . It tears at my heart tremendously that we can’t get pregnant. I seen my obgyn yesterday for my yearly visit, and she recommended taking the next step. She has referred us to a reproductive endocrinologist. I’m not too familiar with this kind of doctor, but I’m assuming it’s just a fancy word for infertility doctor.
I’m praying that we get some answers. I pray daily that God blesses us with the opportunity of becoming parents. I know it’s all in His timing, but it’s hard after it’s been SO long.
As stated above, we do not talk about our infertility issues to anyone other then ourselves. Actually, my own mother didn’t know about our issues until I called her crying yesterday after my doctor appointment.. it’s not that I’m “embarrassed” of our issue, it’s just so super hard to talk about to others. No one else we know has ever struggled with these kinds of issues, so no one can relate. Hence why I come to Glow 😊
Sorry for the extremely long post, but I just needed to vent and talk about this whole thing because not talking about it can be extremely difficult as well.
