Cold sore causes??

I know they can be spread through kissing and/or oral sex or sharing drinks with someone?
I haven’t done any of these things though?? I never share my drink with anyone and kissing/oral sex it’s been almost a year?? I hate cold sores so damn much. How long is the healing process and will putting Carmex on it help at all?

I started getting them at like 10? Never kissed anyone or any of that stuff but who knows, maybe I was kissed as a baby by someone who had it 😞

The virus can lay dormant for years so if you're just getting one from the first time it's not that you necessarily picked up the virus recently.
I find the one thing that heals them the quickest is a hydrocolloid patch.

It can take decades to show up, or it might never show up. Most of the population has it. One of your aunties/cousins/friends/etc passed it to you when you were a little kid. Start with otc meds and if it’s not better in 2-3 days get a prescription from your doctor. Literally like 80% of adult humans have either type one or type two herpes. It’s not a huge deal just avoid passing it on!

I think it's estimated that 67% of the world's population under the age of 50 have HSV 1 (oral herpes, cold sores) 
HSV 1 can be benign for years before an outbreak occurs. Foods and health issues can cause outbreaks to occur and there's nothing to actually stop this.
Aloe Vera doesn't cure a cold sore but it essentially helps with the healing process of a cold sore outbreak and overall is a natural remedy for inflammation etc and has other beneficial properties
