I just turned 18 years old and got my p’s last November. Today I had a dentist appointment at 2:50. When I arrived at the dentist it was raining horrendously. The was a group of 5 middle aged individuals (3 men and 2 women) directly in front of my car. Anyways I went into the dentist, when I returned 20 minutes later the group was still there. Come to find out they were waiting from me. One of the ladies approached me and asked me to drop them off. I persistently said no but she kept pressuring and trying to guilt trip me. I said yes out of pressure as I do have really overwhelmed in situations. What made it worst was the fact that when the women asked me the 3 men and the women started walking on the other side of the my car to come stand behind me. So I was virtually cornered. Once we got in the vehicle they refused for me to take the main road but directed me into a backend street that had no cars or people because everyone takes the main road. In my 4 years of going to this dentist and living in this area I had never entered these roads as they were sketchy backend roads. Anyways we reach the end of the backend road and turn left. While I’m in the middle of the road the passenger on the left opens the car so I had to quickly brake in the middle of road almost getting into an accident. IT GET WORST. We approach a really busy intersection( that connects to the one they we’re refusing I enter) I hear the unbuckle of a seat belt, I turn back and the they are all looking suspicious. The man behind me keeps trying get a hold of my seatbelt by poking his hand through the little space. Some time in the ride they stole my mums wallet with all her identity documents. We were able to get CCTV footage of them that showed that they were waiting for a person of interest since 2:30. Checking out peoples cars and of course looking for someone they could manipulate. I know i said yes to giving them a ride but I was honestly doing it from the goodness of my heart. I love helping others but this time it completely backfired. Im honestly not mad at them I really hope the police just find all my mums things. Do you guys think I’m in the wrong or do you think they took advantage of my kindness!😭
