My midwife recommended vitex but I think it’s making things worse!!
I started the supplements at the end of December when my period started (although I did try pink stork tea at the end of November and through December which I realize now also has vitex in it, so I guess technically I’ve been taking for almost 3 months now)
I have pcos but since starting opks I typically get a surge cd14/15. I know they can be unreliable if you have pcos but I get very clear peak results and only once each cycle.
However, she thought it would be good for me to try vitex since we have struggled to conceive and when we did conceive we lost every pregnancy.
Since starting it I’ve had horrible headaches and I didn’t get my surge until cd20 last month!!!!! And this month I’m on cd14 and my opks are SOOOOOOO negative.... not even looking like I’m approaching a surge yet and I’m thinking I’m looking at another long ass cycle :(
Is it normal for vitex to make your cycle wayyyyyy longer? I’m usually 28-30 days and last month I had a 35 day cycle which is the longest cycle I’ve ever had! I’ve never had longer than 32 days.
I’m worried this is going to make it even harder to conceive?! And adds an extra week each cycle which means less chances to conceive in the year! :(
