Do false negatives happen?
Hi all! I need some thoughts, I’m 23 and my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant. I have never been on birth control and the only medications I take are the prenatals as my pcp said I should if I’m trying.
My last period was 12/29/19, I was supposed to get it again 1/28/20 and never got it. I have never missed or have even been late for my period, it’s like clockwork and always on time. My breast started to get sore on 2/1/20 and I feel emotional and tired/depressed out of the normal.
I took 4 tests at home which all came back negative, then went and saw my pcp who did a blood test which also came back negative. Of course I’m devastated because I got so excited that it’s finally happening but it’s not, so maybe that’s why I’m so emotional?
So I guess here’s my question, is it still possible that I can be pregnant and I’m just getting false negatives? Or is the blood test a 100% accurate no?
I know my body well and this is not my body, I don’t miss periods and I don’t get period symptoms until usually around the 17th, is this wishful thinking?
