Independent play?

Question

How much time is your LO spending doing independent play? My son can go 30 minutes maybe without needing to follow me around or getting bored. Within 15 minutes though I start feeling bad (while I eat or do housework) because I feel like I’m ignoring him? Just not sure how much is appropriate for this age and developmental stage.

Mine plays by herself most of the time. I’m just a glorified toy switcher and bottle feeder 😂

He plays by himself a lot, probably an hour of each wake window. There’s only so much entertaining I can do before I need to get other things done as well. Sometimes I feel bad but the house needs to keep going

Quite a bit because I need to clean the house still lol..and apparently it can become a disaster within seconds around here. 
It's pretty easy for me though because the boys entertain eachother. Thank goodness.

Wow jealous! If I put her down to crawl (she can kinda army crawl now) that lasts about 5 mins if that. If I sit her down I have to stay with her or she gets mad and flings herself backwards but sitting with her she’ll play for 10-15 mins. I can put her in her exercise thing for a while as long as I stay in sight though.i go around one corner and it’s all over.

Rosalie finds something to keep her busy ALL the time, usually it's something that we didnt buy for her to play with like measuring cups, regular cups, the kitchen towel, the calendar hanging on the fridge 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's all stuff she gathers and walks around with on her walker tray, in her playpen she just entertains herself trying to stand up, on the floor she's a speedy beast and gets around everywhere lol sometimes I just feel like I NEED to play with her even though she'd be ok if I didnt 😐

Amelia use to play by herself but not now! Not for long anyways! Have you tried looking into any classes in the area Amelia Loves going to baby music class! It usually wears her out! Also she loves sensory bags, and baskets! If you wanted to make one of those . That keeps her pretty entertained. And random wood kitchen utensils idk why lol

A graham cracker and his chair in the kitchen while I cook usually buys me 30 minutes. 
Toys strategically arranged on the living room rug gets me about 45 minutes. However if he can slow crawl towards the dog and they evade I can add about 10 minutes ( Our older dog is smart enough to escape the baby. Our 2 year old dog has been grabbed and pinned several times despite her mobility compared to his). 
Typically as long as an adult is in eyesight he is happy doing his thing. If we poof ( even to fold laundry) his inner pterodactyl comes out.

I usually get a 15-30 minute window right when she wakes in the morning where she’ll play with her toys on her own, but for the rest of the day she demands that I sit right there on the floor with her so she can climb all over me. Its a HUGE deal if she lasts 3-5 minutes without fussing to get out of “baby jail” if she’s in there alone.

Wow this post makes me feel a lot better. I always feel like I’m ignoring my babe when I’m not playing with him, too! He actually plays a lot better independently than with me 😭 When I sit in the floor to play, he just crawls all over me and whines. But if I’m like on the couch watching him, he’ll just play away!

If I’m lucky, she will play without me next to her for about 10 mins. She does pretty well if I put her in the playroom with her older sister, she stays pretty entertained by just watching her.
