How was everyone told to take clomid?

What day of the cycle so you start taking it? How many pills were you prescribed per round? What days of your cycle did you/are you starting to try? How many days did you try and how often?

I'm starting my first round of clomid this next cycle. And if I'm being honest, I wasnt 100% listening to all of my doctors instructions of the phone when she told me. I was so excited she finally cleared me for clomid as we have been trying for 3 years and my doctor was against it for the longest time because my bmi was at the peak of where clomid would be a lot less successful. I will be calling her first thing on monday morning but this had me questioning if anyones doctors told them differently.
