IUD help

Ok I’m 17 and I just got an IUD I got the hormonal one and I’ve had it in for 3 days and I’m still “spotting” but I feel like my spotting is heavier than it should be and I’m still cramping, is this normal? How long does it typically last? I can’t talk to my mom about it because we’re both very awkward on the topic 😬
