Hiya. Need a word of advice. I am 40 weeks pregnant today, 2nd baby, previous c section.

Midwife said she would give me a sweep today if consultant gave go ahead. Consultant said fine as long as labour ward are ok with it. Labour ward have said no as they are busy and understaffed so don't want me going into labour!!

So they won't give me sweep. If I don't go into labour by Thursday they have me in for a planned c section, which I am desperate to avoid as last experience was horrific and involved pain relief not working, them cutting anyway then needing to put me under general aneathestic due to pain, meaning I missed my daughter's birth.

I'm so wanting to go into labour myself and try to avoid another c section.

What would you do?
