Anyone give baby prune juice?

My son went a week without pooping two weeks ago. The doctor said if he does a week without two bowel movements I should give him an oz of prune juice. He just went a week again (I’m wondering if this is just his new normal) so I tried to give him prune juice and he hated it! I maybe got him to take in a quarter of the oz if that (I tried with a bottle and a medicine syringe). Anyone have any tips?

Before we switched to enfamil reguline we were told that we could do an oz. of apple juice to help with constipation...maybe that would be easier on baby's belly and tastes better too!

Pears can help with constipation! We do purées pears a couple times a week and she loves them. Does the trick within a day or so :)

Experiencing the same thing. Heard it was common once you start solids. Tried organic pear juice tonight. Baby girl is struggling so hopefully this works.

Same situation. I have to water the prune juice down with an oz or 2 of water to get my baby to drink it. She will still only take an ounce. Peas help them poop I read. I never give my baby rice cereal or any cereals because she gets SO constipated. Currently she's pooping little pebbles. My doctor said If she hasn't pooped by monday she will advise a dose or miralax

I gave my baby prune juice when she was super constipated. I just added an oz to her evening bottle. She pooped the next morning 🤷🏼‍♀️

I drank prune juice once, never again. It tore my stomach. I would try a baby probiotic.

We do puréed prunes once a week right now because introducing solids is messing with his poo schedule 😊 maybe try that!
