It's all about the timing 😔 next cycle try having more sex closer to ovulation bday and in ovulation day itself. 
Better to have the sperm waiting there.
Also just because sperm can live up to 4/5 days (in perfect conditions) it doesn't mean that they will, so try and get that sperm there as close to Ov as possible. 
Do you track Ov or just go by the app, I found that the app was off by 4 days last cycle, said I'd be ovulating on the 21st and I ovulated on the 17th so that's a massive deal, if you're just going by this you could be completely missing your egg. 
Sometimes it just doesn't work and not for any particular reason, very frustrating 😔
