Im so sick of being called a paranoid first time mom just because I said no kissing my baby and I dont want to take her to my brothers basketball game in a nasty middle school. My child is a week old and we have been to the hospital every day since she was born. She has been exposed to so much already because of hospital visits for jaundice. I also work at the hospital I had her at and our Peds floor and PICU have been at capacity due to RSV and influenza for the last few months. Also our nurse begged us not to let too many people near her because she only a week old and he has had to start too many IVs on infants lately. My mom wants to show her to everyone and constantly asks if people can come see her and gets upset when I say no. She says just because she had 3 kids and took my brother to sporting events at a week old I should do the same. It is getting really damn irritating constantly hearing her tell people Im just being paranoid. She also constantly wants to change her clothes and dress her up and she screams every time. Like please I get she is the first girl since I was born but I dont want to listen to my child scream at the top of her.lungs just so you can dress her up, my boobs will empty themselves with her screaming like that.
