Do you judge people off of their past relationships?

No because you don’t know what really happened. Unless you’re dating them, their past isn’t really any of your business anyway

You weren’t there so you don’t know enough to judge.
You should judge people off their behavior currently... not what they say or what happened in a past you really know nothing about.
Words are stories, opinions and everyone’s version is different.

I don't judge that because I understand real life.
 I have been in two really bad abusive relationships, they didn't start out that way. I didn't see these guys and say "hey look at that POS, I think ill date him for a few years".
Things happen. Things change. Life is wild. 
I left these men. So judge away 🤷‍♀️

I don't judge people by their past relationships, per say. But I do think that you can understand a person if you take into account their past experiences that have led them to where they currently are in life. So, for me it's more of a way to add some useful context to behaviors and attitudes. You never truly know the *entire* story though and it's important to never jump to conclusions.

I was with my ex for 6 years. He was emotionally and sometimes physically abusive. We got together when we were 17. I sure hope people wouldn’t judge me by that now.
