My husband and I use natural family planning because my body reacts horribly to birth control and I track ovulation and we avoid sex around that time and he usually never finishes in me. Well this past Monday we had sex and he ended up finishing in me because I’m not supposed to ovulate until the 15th (not for another week) and now 5 days later I am ovulating a week early (this happened when we got pregnant with my son too but we had sex closer to the early ovulation). Has anyone here had sex 5 days prior to ovulation and no more after and gotten pregnant? I’m freaking out a little bit because it’s rare I ovulate this early.

Editing to clarify I know you have to ovulate to get pregnant, the question isn’t if I can be pregnant before ovulating it’s if I can get pregnant from sex 5 days prior to ovulating. I know sperm can live a few days inside of you but was wondering if anyone ever really experienced sperm living for 5 days and got pregnant.

Edit again: as I’ve said I know that sperm CAN live for 5 days, I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has personally experienced getting pregnant from having sex only 5 days prior to ovulation. I just have never heard of it actually happening.
