When are you installing baby car seat?

Expecting my second so hubby is a car seat pro at this point, I’m either going to wait super last minute or get him to do it when I see early signs of labour. It’ll take him 10 mins, worst case scenario he could do it in the hospital parking lot before we get discharged 😂. I drive a small car with a convertible car seat in the back for my 2 year old so I want all the space I can while I can.

I just wanted to let everyone know that if in the weeks that lead up to delivery you get in a car accident the installed car seat is no longer useable. This happened with my first it’s better to put the car seat in the car when you are leaving from the hospital.

The base is already in my car. The seat won't go in until.the day I get discharged seeing as though I have to have a c section. I don't want to take the chance of us being in a car accident then having to buy a new car seat.

Hubby is in charge of that and we have tested it to make sure it fits and how it goes in, then he will just put it in when the baby comes 😂

38 weeks. Itll be going in my roommates car since she will be my ride there and home. My babies tend to come during week 38 so I'm just gonna do it the day I turn 38 weeks to be prepared. We'll most likely only install the base and then have the seat by the door ready to grab on the way out.
