Is there any mamas out there who have had a VBAC and how long did you wait between pregnancies?

I am a FTM and had a emergency c-section but am going to try for a VBAC with my next baby if all goes well. I had a 33 hour long labour and got to 10cm but babies head was stuck and after 2.5 hours of pushing i was rushed for an emergency c-section.

Just wanted to hear some stories, what helped and what do you recommend? Did you hire a doula, did you do anything to help babies head position? Any tips to make sure VBAC is succesful and to avoid midwifes or doctors telling you otherwise... unless there is a risk obviously that is a different story.
