Question

For medicine that is gagged and thrown up? I was giving my son his antibiotic and he just threw up seconds after I gave it to him. Do y’all give another dose or just how that it got some in his system? I don’t want to over dose him by giving him another dose.

Answer

The general rule of thumb is to redo the dose if it’s thrown up within half an hour - with that being said, just call your pediatrician and ask for their advice. Doctors and/or nurses should be the only people you truly take medical advice from.

Don’t give him anymore, his body is rejecting it (might be allergic to something in the medicine or it might be to strong for his system to handle)
