We are visiting friends with a six month old baby right now (ours is ten months). I've always thought my kid was challenging, but I don't have many babies to compare to. My thoughts have been confirmed this weekend. Their baby hangs out in one place, is quiet, can be left in a room by herself. Mine has never been quiet, never wants to be left alone, would only ever stay in a jumper, etc for a few minutes, requires constant entertaining, and it's not just a matter of age difference. He's always been this way. Don't get me wrong, I love him dearly and wouldn't change his personality. A lot of great things come with his high maintenance and opinionated self, but it's no wonder I'm so damn tired.
