I just want to shout it to the world but I also want to wait having had miscarriage before. When did you start telling people you were pregnant? Or when do you plan too?

This is so hard for me I just want to tell everyone and anyone but I know I shouldn't until I'm more confident in the pregnancy! So I'm posting here!

I announced early and then miscarried (I had hyperemesis and basically disappeared from life, so I felt I had to explain why). This time I might wait until I’m showing, just to post the cute bump picture. But who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ 
Honestly, announce whenever you feel comfortable! Miscarriage is so taboo and pushed into the dark, and if women didn’t have that 3 month rule I think we wouldn’t feel as alone when it happened. But that’s just my opinion!

I found out last Saturday.... I told my husband Sunday morning .... we told my parents and my brother/his gf Sunday afternoon... and we are telling his parents and sister weds... we’ve also already told our closest friends.
I don’t feel the need to wait... we are excited and want to share the news with the people who matter the most to us.

With our first baby we told our immediate family/close friends right away. This time we want to wait a little longer just because it’s more peaceful to not have people jumping down our throats about it 😊 my husband told his best friend, and I haven’t told anyone. We don’t live near family so it’s easier to keep it secret for now! Not sure when we’ll tell everyone :)

I tell my sister as soon as I see a positive pregnancy test 😂 I’m probably going to tell my parents next week (I’ll be 5 weeks). For my last pregnancy I announced publicly at 12 weeks but this time I’m going to wait until I know the gender around 13/14 weeks.

We have told my mum, my brother and his girlfriend and only one of my friends that has had miscarriages before, just like me. I figure if something does happen, We will need the support. I don’t want the whole world to know because then you need to tell everyone over and over and it hurts! Just tell people as you are happy to!

Told a few right away that I knew would be supportive, trustworthy, and there for me if I did miscarry. Telling family after first appt, then social media can wait until I want to announce! My last pregnancy I had to go ahead and do so because a former coworker decided to announce the news to a whole department before I had even told my family & most were friends on FB 🤦‍♀️.

Told my husband same day. We told our parents around week 7 with our first due to deployment and will tell around the same time as we have one set visiting us then and they’ll be suspicious if I don’t drink wine if we go to dinner. We also told grandparents, sibs etc, but really no one else until about 13 weeks. With this one a few more people know early since we see them often enough it’d be hard to hide (and two other of the couples are TTC too)

I’ve told my sister and my boss (since I wanted to warn her I’m going to be flaky for a while!)
It’s far too early at 6w for me, I feel like the risk of miscarriage is still quite high and I’d be jinxing myself.
Even after the safe period has passed I’d tell my parents and in laws, and anyone else, I’d tell if they asked. I’d hate to put that on everybody if they weren’t interested.
