Detecting pregnancy with cervical position?

Has anyone tried to do this? I’m about 8 days out from my period. I’m so anxious because we have been trying for a while. I read about checking cervix to determine. It says that if it’s low then I haven’t conceived. It’s definitely lower than while I was ovulating. Anyone have experience with this?

Cervical position is not an indicator of pregnancy.

There is SOME truth to it but an HPT will actually pick up your pregnancy before your cervix rises... Usually. 
My cervix stayed low until about 7 weeks and then raised up so high i couldn't even touch it anymore. 
This pregnancy, i stopped checking my cervix when i got my BFP but my cervix was still super low the last time i checked.
