Only yolk sac?

Question

Is it normal for me to have gone in at 6 weeks 5 days (based on LMP) and for them to only see gestational sac and yolk sac but no baby? He said he might have seen a little flicker but wasn’t sure. He thinks i could be around 6 weeks instead and baby isn’t big enough yet. He also said don’t get excited. I’m supposed to go back soon waiting for call to reschedule U/S. I’m currently 7 weeks 2 days. Has this ever happened to you and everything was ok?

My Dr won’t do early scans for this reason. She insisted on waiting until 10 weeks because if you happened to only be 9 weeks you can still see everything clearly and you’re not left anxious and disappointed.

If I went by my lmp, I would have been around 10 weeks. But when I got ultrasound, only a gestational and yolk sac was present. I came back a week and a half later and there's a heartbeat and a little bean lol. I do have pcos and I'm irregular. You could have just ovulated late though.

I used opks to get pregnant with my last. I ovulated a week late. So knowing this, when I came time to schedule my first US I made sure to push it a week back so this wouldn’t happen. If I would have scheduled it based on last month period, they may not have been able to see anything. Hope all it well. This can be scary.  But it’s amazing what a few days can do. So try not to worry.

Yes don’t worry at least there’s something there I’m sure the dates are just off mine we’re too and now I’ll be 28 weeks tomorrow with a baby boy!
