Why does everyone make us feel like we have to post our pregnancy on Facebook?

I'm 24 weeks pregnant and haven't put it on Facebook and people look at me like I'm crazy.  Facebook isn't life its just a website

Exactly why i got rid of Facebook! Too much family drama. Plus don’t feel the need to post about every detail of my life for people that hardly talk to me in real life 🤷‍♀️

i feel that same way somebody said i was lying about my pregnancy because i don't really post it but i never really post anything on social media way before i got pregnant via ivf!! i am a private person and don't like my personal life on social media unlike others! ￼￼￼

We haven't "announced" our pregnancy either. We had a long road getting pregnant so I was reluctant to tell anyone at all and then we have just told those close to us. It's about us, noone else,i don't want to make a big song & dance

You should do whatever makes you happy. You don’t HAVE to post on any social media if you dint want to. People need to live and let live 🙄

Me too! I found out my husbands best friends wife was waiting for me to post because we’re a week apart and she’s been patiently waiting and I’m 21 weeks now! I was like girl I don’t plan on it go ahead. I have no one to “announce” to. If you’re important in my life you already know I’m pregnant. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 
That and I don’t plan on posting any pictures on Facebook. I might post ONE for birth but that’s it. I know my mom will be taking lots of pictures and I’m still trying to figure out how to be sure she doesn’t post any.
No website is safe now days and I want my kid to have the opportunity of total anonymity from the internet. I just feel like these days kids don’t get that option because parents post all the time.

I’m 23 weeks pregnant and I haven’t posted anything on Facebook or any other social media! As a matter of fact my mother in law just found out I’m really pregnant ￼lol. I honestly didn’t want anyone to know. My mom knew from the beginning. And I have only told vary vary few close friends/family. But I just don’t want to hear any negative comments (talking about his moms mom....) she always has something negative to say. She never approved him getting with me all because I already had two sons of my own. Long story short I just don’t want to hear any negativity coming from anyone idc who they are. Just keep that ish away from me and mines.￼

SAME! I’m 21 weeks today and haven’t put a thing on Facebook about my pregnancy. My boyfriend and I both have a Facebook, but rarely/never post things.
Most people can’t believe I haven’t posted an announcement, but everyone that needs to know our great news knows 😊
