Enema during 3rd trimester

Tori • Married with 2 year old mini me :) B/G twins due 4/2020

I’ve been constipated a week and I called to speak to the oncall doctor to see what I should do. I’ve been drinking water, prune juice, taking colace and milk of magnesia but nothing is working. A nurse called me back and told me to do a fleet enema and if that doesn’t work to come to the hospital.

I’m worried because everything online says enemas are not recommended during third trimester as this can induce labor. I know I should listen to the nurse but I’m scared. Anyone else did this and it turned out ok? I’m mostly worried because I’m carrying twins.
