TSA precheck for flying with toddler?

My son will be 15 months when we fly. This will be my first time flying with a toddler. I'm highly considering TSA pre-check so I can get through security easier with my no-chill little guy. Any reason NOT to?
My sister will be with us but I don't know how much that will help when we're all going through security.

I travelled with my son when he was 10 months old and I didn’t have the TSA approval AND my sister was with us. 
Anyway, security was simple. My husband loaded the stroller onto the belt thing. And my sister grabbed the diaper bag and put that on the belt. And I simply walked through the scanner while holding my son. Literally took 5-10 minutes for the whole process

nope! i'd also get a clear membership if possible. clear + tsa precheck frees up a ton of time for you, making it less irritable for your kid to be waiting in line in a drab setting.

I just flew with a 2 year old and a 3 month old by myself without the precheck. It wasn’t that bad. You go to a separate smaller line if you have stroller( usually). I put everything in ziplock bags in the diaper bag so stuff was easier to pull out. Important forms in one, snacks in one and electronics in the other.
