Totally depends on your hospital. I worked at some that give you a few bottles to take home (about enough for a day supply). And I’ve worked at some that send people home with nothing.

You will get some but you definitely need to buy at least a can before baby is born so you don’t have to run to the store for it. I was supplementing with a high calorie formula because I had a NICU baby and they sent me home with the pack of premixed bottles they had already opened for him while in the hospital but they only lasted a few feeding after we got home.

The hospital that I was at supplied me with a crap ton of formula. More than they really should have, but I had amazing nurses. I’m not sure if all hospitals do though. I’d call to see

I would say get some ready:) my fav is honeslty the walmart orange kne for milk and gas sensitoviites. 3 babies all healthy and 1/2 the cost. Really good for avoiding allergies.

I planned on exclusively breastfeeding but during labor my milk 100% dried up, seriously I didn’t even have colostrum .. so I had to supplement by feeding her the formula that I slipped in the corner of her mouth once I got her latched until my milk came in. That being said, they sent me home with about 6 small liquid bottles of formula. Not sure if that was only because I was obviously unprepared for formula feeding though. Call & ask!

I was breastfeeding but my hospital gave me some pre mixed bottles to take home. That was in 2011 tho. Idk if things have changed. Worse case scenario, ask them if they can give u some.
