Hair fungus

So a few weeks ago my child went to a dermatologist appt. & was diagnosed with fungus in her hair. She was prescribed medicated shampoo that they told us would not clean the hair but will stop the growth/spread of the fungus but we were welcome to resume our normal hair care routine. She also has medicine by mouth & cream that she puts on her hair.. so my question is, what kind of oils for good for fungus fighting? I live making my own diy hair dressings & am looking forward to using aloe vera & tea tree oil in this concoction. Any other suggestions?
