Help—announcing to those facing infertility

Alison

We did IVF to get pregnant with our baby girl, after 6 years of trying and 8 IUI’s and a failed round of IVF.

Then in December I found out I was pregnant naturally but miscarried. I’m now 5 weeks pregnant again.

We have told our parents (so they could be praying for us) but no one else. My sister in law just did her second IUI. I’m praying it’s positive this time. If it isn’t, we want to let her know soon that we are expecting, privately, but I’m looking for advice. We want to announce to our other siblings in a “cute” way but don’t want to hurt her. Should we tell her ahead of time but still include her in the “cute” announcement so she isn’t left out? What do we do? 😣 I just feel bad-I don’t want to hurt her at all because I know it used to sting so much when other people just “got” pregnant. 😭 I will just keep my fingers and toes crossed that she’s pregnant as well and then I won’t be so worried about this....
