Croup

Moms with babies/toddlers who had croup- how long did it take to go away? My daughter is 20 months and we went to the doc yesterday as her cold quickly turned to breathing problems and she was diagnosed with croup. She was prescribed 3 days of prednisolone. Took the first dose last night and will take the other soon, she’s a little better but still very congested and wheezing although not at bad as yesterday. Is this normal? Should we be seeing more improvement after having a dose or is it really after the medicine is done?
