Married with bank account?

Question

Just curious as to what you do in your married relationship? My friends mom was talking about having seperate bank accounts but I asually hear people share an account. Or do you share but also still have personal seperate ones?

We have separate accounts. Then a joint one where we transfer money for joint stuff. So our mortgage is say £400 so I'll transfer in half and so will he and it comes out from there. All our names are on everything so we are equally responsible

Probably an unpopular opinion but I keep everything separate.... I have a prenup and have tied up all of my money in trusts. Let me be clear I have all of my own money and am the bread winner! 
I have not opened a joint a count yet because it doesn’t seem necessary..... if we share a bill say the internet and phone package we transfer the money to the one whose name is on the bill! 
My money and family money is not his to have it’s for our children and I and he agrees..... 
In the event of a divorce he knows he will walk away with nothing and owe me nothing..... he is completely on board with that! 
We do give each other money and help each other of course! We are complete partners! Just when it comes to finance I protect what is mine and as should he his!

We have several joint accounts together both savings and checking and money market etc. 
We each also have an individual account that we get an allowance in every month for gifts or basically things that we don’t need or don’t fall in normal budget areas. Although honestly there’s nothing I personally buy with that money except gifts for my husband.

We both have properties and bills that auto pay out every month, so we’ve kept open our separate accounts. 
We have one joint checking account that works more like a savings (and I’m the only one that puts anything into it) and then a joint credit card that he pays off every month. We put almost all our purchases on the credit card, though. So he’s paying a huge majority of things.

We have been married 2 years, together 5. When we got engaged and were saving for a house, several financial advisors told us that a joint and separate accounts were encouraged. Finances ruin relationships.
Joint, all house related bills and our rainy day fund. We put x amount every month.
Separate accounts-our cars including maintenance and insurance, and anything you want to do with it. I like to shop, get my hair/nails done and he buys tools/weed. Neither of us have to explain to one another what we do with our own extra money, we both work hard. 
When a bigger expense comes up... say new sump pump we do 1/3 joint account then a third from each of our separate accounts

We have several accts in all, checking-savings-then like little accts we label vaca Christmas race truck etc but we are both on all accts and both have access to look at them online
