What would you do?

My SO cousin is having a wedding 2 weeks after my due date so our baby will only be 2 weeks old or less if I go past my due date and I plan to EBF would you take the baby to the wedding? Idk if they want kids to be there or not. Would you leave the baby with a baby sitter? I feel like it’s way too young and I won’t be ready plus I don’t want to give her a bottle so I don’t think that’s even an option. Would it be better to just not go?

I vote for not going, mostly because at 2 weeks postpartum I barely had any energy, I can't imagine getting dressed up and going to a wedding. You may still be sore from delivery, especially if you go past your due date and baby is less than 2 weeks old. If you do decide to go, I would try to see if you could bring your baby, and maybe just leave early.

I personally wouldn’t go but would encourage my partner to go be with his family for the day and night. I’m sure they’ll understand why you aren’t there but would be grateful of their cousin attending on behalf of both of you.

My cousin got married right after my daughter was born and I didn’t go. Everyone understood.

That’s completely on you and how you’re feeling at the time.  I had a friend who was 4 days postpartum come to my wedding 😂 she came for the ceremony stayed through dinner and left shortly after. I was shocked to see her.

I voted not to go, because at 2 weeks past my due date I was only 8 days pp.... definitely would not have wanted to get dressed up and out of bed for a wedding while gushing blood 😅

At two weeks PP I had only just gotten out of hospital.
There is no way I would have gone to a wedding, I still haven’t left my baby for more than two hours and he is 8 months old .

I'd just plan to not go, some people can give birth then run a marathon the next day others it can take several weeks to feel up to even walking to the shop.
Also you never know how your birth is going to be if you end up with a C-section there's no way your going to be up to going.
My sister had her wedding for 10days after I gave birth and I didn't go I still felt like I'd been hit by a bus, just getting washed and dressed every day was a challenge.

At 2 weeks pp, I was so tired and was still healing from my 2nd degree tear, I didn't have my energy back until 4 weeks pp. I personally wouldn't go.

Don’t go. At 2 weeks PP I was riding the struggle bus. I still hurt and didn’t fit in any nice clothes

It’s way to early to leave your baby. And it’s to early to take your baby out anywhere until your baby gets the first set of shots and has an immune system. I wouldn’t go￼
