Midwives brew?

If I only use 1 tbs of castor oil instead of 2 will this still work?

I am a midwife.  This is not what midwives would recommend.   So not a midwives brew. 
A “bad idea brew” probably more accurate that can have dire consequences for mum and baby.

Okay so the castor oil just aggravates your bowel which CAN irritate the uterus to contract. That’s why people are saying they had awful cramps. But it just sounds like a glutton for punishment to me.

I tried this and I was hopeful for it to work and it only put me in false labor with PAINFUL contractions for 5 hours straight...I was ready for the epidural and I was only at 1 Cm!! The next day I went in to my dr appointment and she told me I was now dilated at a 2. There are risks that come with it but it’s up to you! You can try it but just know the risks

With my first pregnancy I did everything under the sun to go into labor including two rounds of a shot of castor oil! Did nothing but upset my stomach and I was pissed and miserable the last couple weeks!
