When to try for #2

I had my first baby 8/20/19. I’m 34 and would like my kids close in age. Anyone know when I can safely start trying again? My first pregnancy had no complications.

You should discuss with ur obgyn. I did at my 6 week pp appointment. She took into account my age, health, number of kids i wanted & whether im breastfeeding or not to make a recommendation.

We started trying when our oldest was 13 months. Got pregnant first try so they will be 22 months apart when we have our second.

My dr said it only really matters if you had a c section and then you should not get pregnant til nine months after delivery

Ideal is 18 months but the minimum they recommend is 6 months. I'd ask your OB. Mine actually said there was no reason I had to wait 6 months before we realized I had retained placenta. Every person is different and your OB will know best but I'd say you're safe to start trying.

I know plenty of people who have gotten pregnant within a few months of giving birth, if you feel 100%okay and your doctor says it's okay then go for it :)
